Singhs SMC Australia Flag Hoisting Event (18/03/2023 – Grey Gum Cafe, Putty Road)
A Ride dedicated to the contributions and bravery of Sikh Soldiers. In the Gallipoli campaign, the 14th Sikh regiment was virtually wiped out, losing 379 officers and men in one day’s fighting on 4 June 1915. In the last two world wars, 83,005 turban wearing Sikh soldiers were martyred and 109,045 were wounded.
